The idea came from founder Lowa Wessel, a Fashion Business student at Istituto Marangoni. She saw how hard it was for both new designers and established brands to find responsible manufacturers they could actually trust.
Young designers have the vision and the will to build sustainable collections — but not the network. Finding ethical producers, understanding certifications, and building transparent supply chains can feel impossible without the right connections.
And it's not just a problem for small brands. The whole industry struggles with transparency, access, and accountability.
That insight became The Sustainable Link: a platform and community that makes responsible production accessible, transparent, and achievable for the next generation of fashion brands.
Sustainability shouldn't be a luxury for the few. Every designer and brand with the right vision deserves the tools to create responsibly.
